With the closing of both Balai Laiya and Tivona Beach Resort, a new resort has taken their place: Acuaverde Nature Resort.  For details, click on

Tivona Beach Resort will be closed for major renovation until April 2011.  It will re-open in under new management and under a new resort name.  We are no longer be accepting inquiries and bookings.  We will keep you updated, particularly on this new, bigger and more developed resort that we, the owners of Tivona, are quite excited about.

We thank each and every one of you for your interest and for having booked with us.  It was our pleasure to be of service to you.

TIVONA is a Hebrew name that means “LOVER OF NATURE”. If you love clear blue waters, white sand, trees and flowers, fresh air, skies that change colors and hues each day, Tivona Beach Resort is for you. Witness a glorious sunrise, watch an eagle or two hover above our sparkling seas, catch a glimpse of dolphins and sea turtles if you’re lucky, go snorkeling at a nearby marine sanctuary, laze around and relax until the sun sets behind the mountains where various species of birds still reside in its forests, and gaze up at the moon and see an incredible number of stars on a clear night.

Only 2.5 to 3 hours drive from Manila, Tivona makes for a quick and inexpensive getaway from city life. And unlike crowded resorts that pack in as many people as possible into dense cottage areas, the wide open spaces in the compound that Tivona shares with its neighbor Balai sa Laiya create a more relaxing atmosphere for guests.

Tivona is located in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas in the Philippines.
